and welcome to our website!
We
are a group of Forest Officers working at the Forestry Service, Mauritius. This
blog is designed to provide a platform to share knowledge, information and
innovative ideas for a sustainable forest future in Mauritius. It aims to
trigger discussion on pertinent forest issues.
The
goal is to inform people of the multiple roles and functions of forests, which
will ultimately lead to better decisions and a common understanding of what is
best for our forests and communities.
The
group dedicates it to Mr. Kamlesh Boodhoo, Senior Lecturer at the University of
Mauritius, who has taught, inspired and motivated us to use this new tool to
highlight our forestry activities and raise awareness on the importance of
forests and biodiversity.
The views,
